With Cinco de Mayo falling on a Monday, the first weekend in May promises to be a party extravaganza. So put on a sombrero, and enjoy these unique  cocktails to celebrate.  They’ll add a special twist to any party. Cheers!

CAMUS-Rita – A classic margarita with a French twist.

2 oz. CAMUS VS Elegance Cognac
1 oz. lime juice
1 oz. orange juice
1 oz. triple sec
lime slice and kumquat for garnish
Add all ingredients into a cocktail shaker with ice and shake. Strain into a glass. Garnish with lime slice  and kumquat and serve.

 

Pepinita – One sip of this and you will be chanting, Ole!

Trianon Marg

1 ½ oz. Trianon Blanco Tequila
1 oz. agave nectar
1 oz. fresh squeezed lime juice
splash of orange liqueur
Cucumber slices
Chili powder
In a shaker, add ingredients and muddle cucumber slices. Add ice and shake. Strain into a chili powder  rimmed glass. Garnish with cucumber slices and serve.

Cinco Sangria – Bring out your inner Samba with this cocktail.

Sangria

Fresh seasoned fruit (recommended: strawberry, lime, orange, kiwi, and passionfruit)
¼ oz. Lucid Absinthe
1 ¼ oz. cachaça
½ oz. Spanish brandy
½ oz. orange liqueur
1 oz. dry red wine
In a cocktail shaker, thoroughly muddle the fruit with Lucid Absinthe, cachaça, Spanish brandy, and orange liqueur. Pour into a wine glass. Float red wine on top of cocktail. Stir and serve. Developed by  Ben Scorah at Beekman Bar and Books in NYC.
