Las Doscientas 100% single varietal extra virgin olive oils are estate-grown at the Las Doscientas estate in the Maule Valley in Chile, then handpicked in April through May and first cold pressed within minutes of harvest for maximum freshness. They are packaged in a uniquely shaped, patented glass bottle with a wooden, drip-free pour spout. These olive oils are new to the US market and limited in production.

The Arbequina Extra Virgin Olive Oil is made with 100% Arbequina olives, a Spanish varietal. The oil has a lighter body, making it ideal for cooking fish or poultry. There are some grassy and zesty peppery notes, which give it some pizazz, but it’s balanced nicely by smoother nutty elements. We’d recommend trying it to anyone that’s unsatisfied by full-bodied, buttery olive oils and wants more robust flavors.

Las Doscientas Picual Extra Virgin Olive Oil is made with 100% Picual olives. It’s flavors tend more towards the herbaceous side, as notes of bell pepper, fresh cut grass, and white pepper emerge. A bit rounder and fuller than the Arbequina, it’s well suited for cooking meat or frying up potatoes. People who prefer “more traditional” olive oil should give this one a try. It’s still quite smooth, but has more layers of flavor than your average olive oil.
