The Vincent Vodka 3-D Bottle

It takes five countries a period of three months to produce a bottle of Vincent Vodka in the brand new revolutionary 750 ml 3-D bottle. It's made in Germany, etched in France, silk screened in Belgium and filled in Holland. The corks are from Portugal. The two gold bands and the gold palette are made of 18 karat gold. By slowly rotating the bottle, the art gallery scene changes from one of the five paintings to the next, while each painting is enlarged by the magnifying effect of the bottle and the vodka. Periodically, collectible bottles with new galleries will be issued. Gallery two, due for release in the year 2000.

Vincent (Van Gogh) Vodka is made in Holland, in the City of Schiedam, where distilleries have been a part of daily life since the middle 1600's. Our distillery has been rebuilt under the supervision of the Holland Monument Society, including the windmill in front along the canal and the cobblestone streets. Through multiple distillation of the alcohol, the Amsterdam recipe creates such smoothness and character as only found in a handmade, small-batch spirit. Grain alcohol is distilled several times at 194 proof to remove the congeners (bad by-products). Multiple distillation is done at 176 degrees Fahrenheit to create a 120 proof alcohol, which is reduced to 80 proof. Only the heart of the distillate is used for the vodka. The Master Distiller, John DeLange, tastes each batch of vodka, and only with his signature can it be bottled. When John DeLange is on vacation, no Vincent Vodka is produced.

Produced at the Dirkzwager Distillery in the historic district of Schiedam, Holland, the 80 proof Vincent Vodka is handcrafted in small batches using the finest grain and a gradual process of multiple distillations to create a remarkably smooth vodka with an elegant finish.

"Holland has been making some of the world's finest spirits for centuries," says David van de Velde, president of Luctor International. "Now, for the first time, the highest level of the Dutch distillers' art is entering the United States market. American consumers," he says, "are learning to appreciate the refined character of the rarest spirits from Dutch distilleries that are combining their generations of experience with the latest technology."

Van de Velde also recognizes the appeal of distinctive packaging and its importance in complementing exclusive products. He has patented a breakthrough bottle design with magnified, 3-D images of van Gogh paintings, each seen individually as the bottle is turned.

The suggested retail price for Vincent Vodka is $30, with 7,500 cases available in the United States this year.
