dairy case, Imagine
Foods recently
introduced Rice
Dream, the top-selling
non-dairy beverage,
in refrigerated
quart and half-gallon
containers.
Following last year's successful introduction of refrigerated
Soy Dream Enriched, Rice Dream is now available in limited distribution
in refrigerated cartons in Original Enriched and Vanillia Enriched
varieties. "The quart container has a standard reclosable
spout, and the half-gallon features a reclosable screw top closure.
Until recently Rice Dream ivas available excusively in aseptic
quarts and 8oz 3-packs.
Rice Dream Refrigerated Beverages are packaged using Extended
Shelf life (ESL) technology, which allows the product to be
guaranteed fresh to distributors for a minimum shelf life of
45 days from the date of pick-up. Once opened, the convenient,
reclosable pour-spout keeps the unused portion fresh for 7-10
days under refrigeration.
Rice Dream is made from GMO-free brown rice (the Original Enriched
variety is made from organic brown rice), is free of dairy,
lactose and cholesterol, and is 99% fat-free. Rice Dream Enriched
is fortifled, and contains amounts of calcium and vitamins A
and D comparable ro milk. Art 8-oz serving of Rice Dream contains
300 mg of calciusri, the same amount in an eight-ounce glass
of dairy milk. Unlike other rice beverages, Rice Dream does
noi contain rice syrup or added sweeteners of any kind.
